Well, everything's carved out and it looks like San Antonio, Texas for 35 days :o(
And he leaves out Thursday morning to get there.
We can't all go. Too many animals here and no place to put them. I mean, I've packed a house and barn and moved 3 states away with only 8 days to do it, but I can't do it again. Just too many strings and tassels hanging out to do it.
And it's just a month. Then he's in Arkansas again, only closer this time.
Oh...and the insurance we have on the property paid a full payment out through the May 5th date so that counts as some income. Good insurance, I guess.
Well...gotta gather tools and get clothing washed and packed. Tomorrow he has to return the truck and materials to the one company and close out employment there, then head to the new company and drug test, work up papers and pick up the new truck. It will be a long day -- new company is 4 hrs up into Tennessee one way. Then home to pack the truck and see him off early squirrely Thursday.
For a month :o(

Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls.

I know it's not what you really wanted, but it's work. And it's TEXAS. And he's got a job after that. The Lord knows your needs, so we'll simply say, Thank you. God bless, Liz
I know, I know.
It's not my Faith that's discontent at all...ny heart knows completely that The Lord chose this direction for us, we are just to follow and not ponder it too much.
But my flesh just screams at my husband having to leave our family to make a living yet again. My flesh won't override my deepest heart knowing, but it's just not giving me skin-level peace, kwim?
But yes, it's a job and they worked out great terms and a package...and I mentioned it's a JOBn right? There aren't enough of those going around anymore and I know full well the blessing that is.
Good thing The Lord knows what we need and I'm not in charge :o)
Deanna
Deanna, your faith is so strong and such an inspiration to me. It has gotten me through a lot of bad times lately and while this is not what you would have hoped for your faith will get you both through. Remember, when God closes one window he opens another one. I will be praying for you and your family and just wish that I lived closer so I could be of some help to you in Dewey's absence. I know how much it helps to have like-minded people around you. Donna
Will be praying that it is an easy 30 days at home and for him away, and that it flies by for you both!
Thanks for the update, Deanna. Will be praying for you while hubby is away. I know that the time my hubby has been away on multiple deployments has taught me so much and drew me closer to our gracious Father. I also know the heartache involved. Will keep your family in my prayers.
Blessings to you all,
Katie
Praise GOD for this opportunity!
