Free G.A Henty books online

I've been updating a bit at our schooling blog.  Most of the goodies are about the great historical fiction written by G.A. Henty and all the great uses for his stories in homeschooling...unit studies, vocabulary, just plain ol' family reading :o)

The sight I am downloading the books from is ManyBooks.net and we are saving them all to a flash drive for either reading aloud (using our mini netbook), or for taking to a print shop like Staples or OfficeMax, and having the titles printed and bound for a fee.  There are several places to buy the books themselves as well...such as Robinson Books.

There are several Henty titles, as well as a great search engine for finding other texts you might be interested in.

Right now we'll be printing off The Cat of Bubastes for reading aloud....although it's really hard to choose which book to start out with -- they are just really good, wholesome reading!

Thanks so much for the link. I've not heard of this one either. I love the way that it lets you customize. That is wonderful!

Thanks for the link, have you heard of www.librivox.org, which has books on the public domain that are read aloud? So far there is only two of Henty's there, some of Ballantynes, and a lot of other great books. :)

How much does it cost to have one printed and bound?

Jeremiah 6:16
Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls.
