Boredom? What?!

No, not really.

Well, yeah...maybe. A little bit.

I need something to do.

LOL...I know...like a hole in the roof I need something more to do...

I've got a barn of *hopefully* expectant does who need stalls and pens prepared.

I've got more puppies than any one homestead needs...they need good homes. And I'm not good at getting rid of animals, so this will need some prayer cover! It's not that I want to keep them...really...and it's not that I don't think someone else will take care of them...well, maybe...but I sort of coward-out at the last minute and hate to see them go. C'mon...puppies are cute. You don't think about the pain-in-the-behind, barking furball they may grow into. They are tiny, nippy and yappy and just plain adorable. That's where I get caught.

I've got an enclosed front porch now...needing a door and flooring laid. We haven't gotten the door yet, but the flooring is there, as is the insulation, waiting. My first use of the closed-from-the-elements space is to empty the closets and do some purging and re-organizing...emphasis on that purging part!

I have some sewing left to complete then back to my family needs here.

I picked out some wild yarns last night that need a project plan. Yes, I buy yarn (and fabric) without a real plan of action. I need some afghan thoughts. Just don't have any yet. I've been scouring the 'net for ideas, and I've found a TON I'd like to do, just haven't decided on one yet.
I found this one....and this one....and several here....and this one....and some great YouTube tutorials here for all sorts of things....I like this stitch...and this stitch...or one of these....this site gives some thoughts on charity crocheting, with sizes for various bed needs, and some good stash-busters, etc.

...or I could do some simple shawls...probably not in these wild colors, but who knows?

The first group is in brights -- a variegated called Bikini (brights in orange, yellow, pink, green and blue) paired with Bright Yellow and Real Teal) The second set is more pastel -- the variegated is Melon Berry (pastels in a couple shades of pinks, light orange, pale yellow and a light lavender, paired with Pale Yellow and Lavender). They look pretty neat in real life...maybe not so much in the picture.

I don't know...I'm leaning a bit toward the simple ripple afghan. Then again, I do like the tunisian stitch as well. And this basketweave afghan (and this one, too) is really pretty...maybe a bit too toned-down for wild colors, heh?

OK, I hope you don't have to have a plan for our fabrics we buy everytime. Cause sometimes I just buy them because I like them!

Happy Fall!

I'm really liking that basket weave in pumpkin color or something really autumn-y.
I already know that Tunisian stitch, that is really the only thing I ever do, because I am afraid to try anything else.
I must send you more sewing, honestly you must have too much time on your hands. LOL!!!

Boredom is a state of mind. ;)

I wish you were closer, I would take one of those adorable puppies off your hands in the blink of an eye! We were going to get our old dog from my ex husband now that we are in a place that allows dogs, but he backed out at the last minute. So I am looking for a dog, one I can train the way I like to. I don't do crates and all this nonsense they do now with dogs. Our dogs are always a part of our family.

And I can relate to being bored. It isn't that I don't have anything to do....the boxes I haven't unpack can attest to that, it's just that I am bored with unpacking lol. But I am so blessed by G-d to have a home of my own again!

Many prayers and well wishes for you and your family :)
