I have listened to several of his preaching/teaching sermons and honestly, I have not often heard a man of God preach so honestly and so 'harshly' as he does.
AMEN and PRAISE GOD for such annointed preachers still found in this day and age!

has shared an awesome message by Voddie Baucham and I strongly recommend you take time to listen -- and to listen with the openness of spirit and heart you should have as a professing Child of God. He will most likely offend the delicate ears and toes of folks comfortable with the soft soap given most every Sunday in this country by paid preachers more concerned with their popularity and the numbers and dollars they can log in with their conventions and districts.

Of course you know how much I respect and admire the boldness and truth-speaking of Dr. Baucham, so I take any opportunity I find to point to him. I've heard part of this message before and it just makes me want to shout. Oh that more godly men would just speak the truth and not worry about its popularity…just as our Savior did.

This is just an FYI; you don't have to publish it. i just wanted to draw your attention to a news article and say that i think that you are doing a great job of parenting, especially in regard to your daughter and that situation. The article is about a situation that has some similarity to yours, but got way out of control. i am not saying that your situation is even remotely like how that ended but I think bears up your method of parenting with REALLY early intervention into a troubling situation.

I stand behind our parenting choices 150% regardless of what anyone else thinks :o) I need your wisdom in "reactions" though, that's for sure! Great sharing you had there...I printed it for a reminder to my so often less-than-tactful self.

I wanted to say that I know you said the comment didn't need to be kept/posted, but it was, and honestly, I'd like to keep it up here. It is a reminder for not only me, but for every other parent who worries they are too strict or too much an 'old fashioned parent' or whatever other worldly viewpoint nonsense they hear for taking a strong and hard stand early and long.

I just listened to the sermon: WOW. I st my future daughter-in-law down and had her listen. We have talked a lot about children.I really should blog about this; her feminist mother has her convinced that "children ruin your life". What a message! I think this sermon left an impression on her. I hope.
