American flags are little seen around the White House. The man openly joins every prayer time he can. He has praised the Muslim nation since his first day in office.
To construct a Muslim Mosque at Ground Zero, where Muslim terrorists made clear and horrific acts of anti-American protest, is WRONG.
Spare me the nasty grams. We aren't putting up great Christian churches in Afghanistan, Iraq and Iran. We aren't erecting monuments to our fallen American soldiers on their soil. We are *still* there because we have a government deluded into thinking we are some sort of helpful in rebuilding their self-destructive country.
What we SHOULD be doing is bringing American military HOME and start taking back our own country.

You took the words right out of my mouth!
A guy in my Sunday School class is in the National Guard and he told us Sunday that the Muslims always try to erect a "monument" or "mosque" to celebrate a great victory. This is a slap in the face to the 1000's of men and women who died 9-11.
I heard Obama's Ramadan greetings on the radio. Didn't Obama refuse to have the Day of Prayer (which was Christian...) and hasn't he distanced himself from anything Christian under the banner of he's not going to focus on any one religion as President? But then he does just that?? I'm not against Muslims. I'm against this one-sided favoratism and his blatant disregard for everything that America was founded on and stands for. We are a Judeo-Christian country. Muslims and Hindus and non-believers should be free to worship in America but we are still a Judeo-Christian culture through and through.
Which is another thing that amuses me: people say that the Christian lifestyle goes against American culture and that we Christians are the weirdos that are anti-American lol sure...
His support is just unbelievable to me. Some things are just not proper or honoring. Yes, we have religious freedom but no one gets to build a "church" or "temple"just anywhere they want. No Japanese anything would ever have been built anywhere near Pearl Harbor and the Japanese to this day honor the memory of our dead.(I've been to Pearl Harbor and seen that for myself.) The presidents position is shocking and appalling.
I am a Democrat. And I am totally for everyone getting to worship in any way they choose. I embrace the differences in all of us.
BUT.
This is a slap in the face to those who lost their lives that day, and to all of us as Americans.
I am also concerned about the reason they want to build the mosque in this area. (Just for the record: I do not believe that all Muslims harbor a secret hatred against Americans--but some of them have their own agenda and do hate us.)
This is what I have read when I started looking up the building of mosques:
"in the cases where the Muslims conquered principal cities, they constructed the mosque in the place that was the centre of the religion of the conquered people."
I admit that I don't know enough about this yet to consider this information totally accurate. The idea that there is even a slight possibility of truth in this sickens me.
I do plan to participate in protests if it comes to that.
