Refined Sugar is Just Bad

Do you ever wonder why something that can do all this listed is something we're addicted to? Man, can you imagine what it does to your body?

Sugar is used in leather tanning, printers' inks and dyes
in textile sizing and finishing
Film stuntmen use bottles and plate glass windows made of sugar
Chemical manufacturers use sugar to grow penicillin
Sugar hardens asphalt
It slows the setting of ready-mixed concrete and glue.
About 30% of refined sugar comes from sugar beets. The rest comes from sugar cane
One 12 oz. Cola contains 11 teaspoons of sugar.
Sugar was one of the first pharmaceutical ingredients used, as it still is today, to mask the bitter taste of medicine

It hardens asphalt, people. Eeeww. That my food ingredients help create the roads I drive on just weirds me out...

Would we feel any better if we all blamed our sugar habit on Mary Poppins? "Just a spoon full of sugar makes the medicine go down . . . . " But she didn't tell us about the asphalt!! And the concrete.

Y'all have a good trip! God bless, Liz

Jeremiah 6:16
Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls.
