Quiet rainy day here

I brought a ton of colonial life, pilgrims and indians of the northeast books home from the library yesterday.

That is today's school work. Jennifer will run flashcard drills with the youngers and a couple lessons from Learning to Read/100 EZ Lessons and McGuffeys. Then it's just looking at, reading, drawing and daydreaming about colonial life.

I have a wicked, kick-my-head-in-half mega headache. Bound to be stress- and rain-induced, but man it has the core of a migraine in the shadows. I'm *not* about to go with the migraine, so we are having a quiet, slow-motion day today.

I kid you not, my head is throbbing to the point I could gladly curl up and disappear into the wallpaper here :o( I thankfully don't get this miserable often, but when I do, it's a wasted day completely.

Well, a day lost to colonial lifestyle, pilgrim adventures and maybe the Ken Burns documentary on the Shakers. Might go ahead and let them watch the Jamestown story/documentary as well, though I planned to read Richard of Jamestown *first*....

If they don't rebel and tear down the house today we'll count it a good day despite the headache.

As for the headache, yeah, that's a migraine, been there, done that. Tell the kids what they need to do for school, be quiet, and go lay down for a while, if you can!

I get migraine headaches too, and it does take away the day. I just let the children know to keep quiet, no istruments, they are usually pretty good. I'll put off the napping for as long as possible, until maybe our older daughter comes in or near to when Hubby gets home, then I'll crash. Hope you feel better soon.

Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls.
