The worst of the closet

Ok, believe it or not, in this picture there is a HUGE, 18 inches off the floor, queen-sized bed with massive headboard and footboard.

And an equally large and spacious hope chest.

And the right side there -- that's where my Grandmother's china cabinet sits. Yes, it's in my bedroom. When Ashley Furniture gave us all that houseful of furniture they wanted to do everything over. I had gotten rid of everything that wasn't meaningful to me. All I had was big stuff...the china cabinet, the buffet, 8 ft x 4 ft baker's rack, piano, antique corner china hutch. Had nothing in the way of actual useful furniture -- probably why they chose us for the gift, heh?

Either way -- this all (and then some!) Came out of the closet store room :o( there's even a small bookcase directly ahead in the photo.

Man am I covered up in JUNK and CLUTTER!

I had to laugh at the first line in your comment to me a while ago. I could just see you buried in all that stuff, the kids desperately digging to find you.

I'm so amazed at how much you guys have hauled off, that is awesome!

Fabric is a hard thing to deal with, because it's one of those things that can be very useful for so many things. But again, it's one of those things that unless you're going to actually do something with it, it's just taking up space. We have a lot of it too.

It really does come down to how we deal with this stuff on a daily basis. I realize now, that working through a room a day for the remainder of the next 2 weeks, I'm not going to be able to go through every area of our home and get rid of all of our clutter, it's gonna take many sweeps through to really get it all out of here. I'm really debating on wether or not I want to have a yard sale, or just haul it all off to goodwill myself. Garage sales are so much work for very little return. We'll see...

I'm about halfway done with the front living room, but am about to stop and get dinner done and then we're off to church. I'll finish it up when we get home, which may end up with me staying up until midnight to do so, but at least it will get done.

Too bad we don't live closer, we could unbury one another when the stuff starts to take over. lol.

Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls.
