A Merry Heart and Your Stocking Up

:::Preparing for fun and relaxation is as important as preparing for physical needs.
Fear and bitterness are some of the worse life threatening things that will bring the whole household down.
Having a lot of time on your hands, gives time to think about what I don't have, or what I'm missing. Just adding some of the fun items will keep your family occupied in good, clean, happy, useful business:::

I really enjoyed this posting about adding joy to your storage. There are some good, overlooked ideas there -- go check it out.

Not that ample chocolate isn't joy, mind you...I'm just pondering on more.

We can fill the pantry with food needs, fill some tubs with plenty of miscellaneous barter supplies, like coffee, batteries and matches, but you know, life doesn't have to go to the dogs if your 'normal' changes. Folks have lived good, full and fun lives for generations. Computers shouldn't make your fun.
Television and videos shouldn't make your fun.
iPods, video games and all that other stuff shouldn't make your fun.

Life is work, yes. And honestly. A back to basics, simple lifestyle is more work.

But there is fun all around you. It all depends on your attitude and your perception. If you have to have electronics to create your fun, well, you might have a rough time making a new way of life work for you one day.

Keep the simple things handy in your storage -- bubble bath, pretty perfume, nice cologne for the man of the house, games for the children. Don't forget those things that bring you a sense of peace now. I have a friend stocking her Stampin' Up supplies :o)

Life may take a rather bumpy road soon -- bring along some frivolous fun and stress-relievers for the ride :o)

Good point. I am putting by books, toys, fabric and of course, chocolate :)

Many Blessings :)

Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls.
