Dewey will be heading back out this afternoon after church.
We will be hibernating inside. I understand they need to go through all this every day because some folks just don't comprehend high heat levels and humidity at all, but for me, I don't need to know once the heat hits the mid-90's and I sure don't need to have the heat stroke alert buzz all day :o( Makes me feel way more hot!

A HEAT ADVISORY MEANS THAT A PERIOD OF HOT TEMPERATURES IS EXPECTED. THE COMBINATION OF HOT TEMPERATURES AND HIGH HUMIDITY WILL COMBINE TO CREATE A SITUATION IN WHICH HEAT ILLNESSES ARE POSSIBLE.
DRINK PLENTY OF FLUIDS...STAY IN AN AIR-CONDITIONED ROOM...STAY OUT OF THE SUN...AND CHECK UP ON RELATIVES AND NEIGHBORS.
Ahhh, summer rolls in hard. There is still July, not to mention August, to get through. Thank You Lord for a very pleasant spring this year! Now I'll stay locked up until December and wait on the 70 and 80 degree temps to return.

I am in complete and total agreement with you. The heat and I have never been friends. Let me know when October rolls around so I can stick my nose out the door...

crikey thats hot! over here in England we get humid heat rather than dry heat,but nowhere near what you do.Does everyone have to have air conditioning? It must be expensive to run.The papers here today are full of how energy costs are going to rise from over £1500(an average families bill) to over £5000 in the coming decade.
We pay £45 a month & are a wee bit in credit at the moment so we are way off *average* thankfully but even so that would mean us paying much much higher for the same usage sigh.
I remember when I lived at my nans & one summer it was swealtering,I got up in the night & took my sheet to the bathroom & soaked it,wrung it out & then lay back with it covering me lol!lovely & cool :o)
