Renegade Sheep...not what you think

"We simply cannot condone a ruling that would permit such pervasive interference with parents' custodial rights," they wrote. "In the cases in which this Court has determined a person to be a psychological parent to a child, that person typically has resided in the child's household and interacted with the child on a daily basis.

"Moreover, a psychological parent is one who essentially serves as a second parent to a child and is a relationship to which the child's parent has consented."

That is from this article. They 'restored' full custody to the mother....from the babysitters. Psychological co-parents? Looking at their notes here, I suppose any public school or even private school teacher, could be considered a co-parent to any given child.

What a world we've created here.

And the next one shared by As Simply As We Can....was just as big a gem...the influence of religion is a severe shortcoming in the global campaign to protect children.

Yes, we are just taking advantage of our place as parents to dare to teach and train children anything, I guess. Child abuse. Negative influence of religion. Bad parenting all around it seems, according to the UN.

"Such abuse begins with the involuntary involvement of children in religious practices from the time they are born," says Narisetti. "All religions, through ritual, preaching, and religious texts, seek to bring children into day-to-day religious practice."
The worst part is that most folks won't see anything in this. Oh sure, you have some 'third world' countries with some rather rough religious rituals and traditions, where children are truly second class and taken advantage of. But I don't see that being the mainline the UN is creeping after. It's just another in a long line of small steps the powers that be take toward controlling the sheep. That would be us, by the way. A nice big herd of sleep-walking sheep.

Sheep with bad parenting skills, it seems. Renegade sheep, no less, abusing our children with things like religion and Truth.

How sad. Our government is stepping in more and more... and pushing parents out.

Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls.
