Pictures around our homestead

Boring as these will no doubt be, here are some views from around our mountain and homestead here...

This is the mandevilla (sp?) climber alongside the porch. The flowers are huge. I hope it will climb along the entire side of the railing here next year. It grew alot this year already.

This is the end of my driveway, continuing up the mountain lane here. It doesn't go anywhere, really. Just beyond the view of the road there is the one and only neighbor and the end of our road that way. That timbered area in the photo is part of our land. It's just a little point that heads up that way.

This is the end of my driveway as well, heading down our lane to the main roads. Our property is on the right side and goes just beyond that bend where the creek makes our border.

Just continuing down the road...way up there in the center at the top of the road is the next neighbor's home. Her mother lived there and they once owned all of the land along this part of the mountain. She now lives across the next road, just across from the field at her mother's house. It's beautiful out here.

This looks back up the road from where we just came. This is the view from the top of the neighbor's property I just mentioned. It's hard to see in this photo, but way in the back there you can see the rest of our mountain. Our property is up the road beyond the bend and around another one.
This is the same place...I just tried to 'zoom' into the mountain a little more. Follow that ridge over to the right and you'll find our church, County Line Baptist, up at Dry Creek. I'll take some photo's of it later today when we head to church and post them tomorrow.

Now that I think I have the hang of this camera and moving the pictures from there to here, maybe I can share some things of interest....
...like raspberry pies and peach cream pies :o)

Your pictures aren't boring Sis! Not at all!

You live in such a quaint rural area that many of us can only dream about.

As I was looking at the picture of your driveway and all the greenery (really pretty by the way), I was wondering when fall hits, do all the leaves change colors or no? I bet it is a beauitful site to see of they do!

You can e-mail me a slice of pie or two now. :-)

Blessings,
Dawn
