What do you think each of these has in common?
Milk :)
*Fresh* milk. *Fresh* *Raw* milk.
We are streamlining the August budget and our prayers are that every single penny not directed at a specific bill will yield what we need to purchase a beautiful dark brown Jersey :)
She's 3 yo, currently in milk and giving 5 gallons daily -- can you *imagine* all the goodies packed away here with FIVE GALLONS of milk DAILY??!! -- and she's been bred back and will calf again in March!! Unlimited milk supply, barring a couple months dry time to prep for birthing, for the next year and half!
And gentle doesn't begin to describe her, her owner (a preacher/Missionary in Arkansas) says. She has been totally hand-raised and gentled. She dotes on being groomed and milked, and even comes when called. She is halter-broke, and he said that even Emily could go up to her and grab a teat for milking and she's calm as can be. A perfect match for this large family we think.
We'll see how the plans go. Keep it in prayer!

Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls.

I am praying for your cow as I type. That sounds like a wonderful blessing. I hope someday to have a cow just like that. :)
How exciting for your family. I hope all works out with this purchase. It would certainly be an ongoing blessing for many months.
I'm hoping for you. She sounds so very sweet, and you'll be able to make so much from her milk for your family.
