Foggy, Muddy and Humid

Finished calling the road supervisor. We are the top priority on the 'fix' list...however, they have to get around to every road in the district and do an inspection for the school routes, mail routes and other vehicles before any road repair starts.

Don't think he appreciated my 'concern' as to why these inspections weren't undertaken yesterday. Seemed an appropriate question to me. Must just be me.

We will be getting a larger culvert on the creek here when they do get to us.

So, today it's all school, laundry and plain ordinary stuff. I may break down and hit the A/C today. Not so much as to cool, but to rid the house of some of this humidity. It's just beyond muggy outside lately, and even this early it's 81 INSIDE the house. I know I said I wasn't using the A/C, how I was going to adjust to fans and not even start with the machine...but I'm a big baby :o(
I don't like summer. I didn't mind it so much really back north, but I hate, dread, loathe, summer down here. I just wasn't made for this...I'm more the Nanook of The North type. The high humidity just lays me out flat in no time. I just start getting a wicked headache and run downhill from there.

I am going to try not to turn it on, though. Don't know how productive I'll be, but we'll see.

I guess you have to weigh your options, do I need to get stuff done, or do I need to save money, and not run the a/c, and not be as productive. Maybe you could get some of that sewing done :o) Praying your road is fixed in a timely manner.

I'm with you on the humidity! It was HORRIBLE even up north here yesterday..92, with almost 100% humidity...at the beginning of May! It has finally broken, and we are a comfy 80 with a breeze....hope things get more comfy for you down there too!

You know I'm with you on the high humidity side of things & sooooo grateful we have moved back down south (in Australia, that's the cooler end).

Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls.
