Whew...long hot day

We have perimeter fence around the pasture now behind the barn. Almost 660 ft of it slithered hither and yon through the brush and timber.

Goats will think they've hit green paydirt tomorrow morning. We'll start taking down the existing pasture pens at the barn now, and setting up a divided area within the full pasture for Malachi tomorrow. Plus the run for the chickens will be inside the goat's pasture as well. That ought to keep the coons and hopefully owls at bay.

By tomorrow afternoon Malachi and Buddy will have lots of space to preen for the ladies. Cotton and the girls will have more than enogh area. As winter moves in and the bugs and ticks and snakes aren't an issue we'll go back through for some wood posts, and set up another divided area in there to allow one to grow up some come spring. Not ideal space for true rotation, but it will do just fine.

As time permits...well, as money permits...we will work on full property perimeter fencing. We are well inside the property on every side. It would take another dozen rolls of fence to do along the back and partially up sides to front.

I'm so glad to see this done finally. I'll try to get on the computer and upload pictures this week sometime. Time to just spend time with Dewey. The MRI equipment comes in Monday and he has to be back by then. Then it's finished and he's home for good. Keep a prayer that he has work after this. If not, we'll put the pantry to test :o)

Have you ever read A. T. Pierson's biography of George Mueller? Link is on my sidebar. Pierson was a personal friend of his, so you get the story first-hand. Real encouragement when things are looking tight. Praying for y'all. Know it will be good to have Dewey home. You'll make it. God bless, Liz.

Busy, busy days. Glad you are able to get some of the work out of the way, although I am sure you will enjoy a relief from the heat.

Good or bad, depending on how you look at it, we aren't really having a summer this year. Very weird.

Will continue to pray for the financial area of your life.

Be blessed!

Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls.
