A new visit here...

I thought I had a blog set up here, but none of the names/passwords I tried opened anything, so I started fresh. Could just be I know little about blogs and simply lost myself, though.

Either way, I'm here now and Lord willing, I'll even find my way back to blog again later.

We are a Plain, homesteading, homeschooling, Bible-believing, self-sufficient, God-reliant family of 11...Dad, Mom, 4 future Contenders of The Faith and 5 future Keepers at Home. We have many strong convictions and hold our faith seriously. Our beliefs may not be your beliefs...that's ok with us, and I pray it doesn't bother you. We are not here to become your Bible.

If we strike a nerve in our sharings, please take it as it is meant to be -- merely our sharing what we believe and what we follow in our own family. If something upsets you, maybe you need to flesh out your own stand based on your understanding of Scripture. We have been too many places online and been attacked as being "self righteous" in our beliefs, and that is not what we are here to do. I share from a mother's heart, what the Lord is working on within my own life, and I do not pretend to be ahead or behind you on The Path to His Kingdom. My beliefs are simply my beliefs and nothing more insidious than that.

That said (my little disclaimer, as it were, for those wishing to walk a while with me here...), I hope I offer something of worth during your computer time. I plan to share whatever is on my heart at the time, be it an update as to family life here on the homestead with some recipes, garden thoughts, barn news, etc. or a bit of Scripture The Lord is writing on my heart for my own lessons.

We certainly don't need to agree on anything or everything, but I would hope that I am in the company of adults...by that, I mean folks with common sense and proper dignity. If you disagree with anything I share, I'd love to hear your viewpoint, but I request that you share it in a polite manner without 'show' or filth, as I have children and do not wish to subject them (or myself) to garbage, kwim? We are but pilgrims in this world, and we choose to live outside the common boundaries as we grow in The Lord's teachings here on the homestead.

Visited your blog for the first time today.
Thank you for posting!

"Learn, then, that the mere possession of religious privileges will save no one's soul."
I appreciate this!

My own son of 19 was truly saved last Fall, when before he was living a lie, but everyone thought he was saved.
Same for myself in the years past.

Only the Lord by His Spirit can do that genuine work in the heart for salvation, through our Lord Jesus Christ! Praise Him forever!

It is nice to visit here again. I love what you have written here as there are many people who are just looking to complain, argue, or be just plain rude. We do not have time for that either. Thanks for being a blessing on the internet.
Blessings, Anna

Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls.
