Something that I found that works really well is one of those cases for a cassette tape - they fit well in your hand and do a decent job of scraping ice off of windshields ... flip it open and use the part where the cassette tape slides into.
If all else fails ... try using a blow dryer to melt the ice off the windows. :o)

Hahaha! Yeah, they sell ice scrapers in Miss., though we don't need them too often. Best place to go is Walmart! Did it ever snow up there?
I don't know but we found out the hard way that they don't sell snow shovels in Texas!
